Show WITH II PRESIDENT Utah Association, in Resolutions, Reso-lutions, Pledges Its Support Sup-port to Wilson. The special committee appointed by the directors of the Manufacturers' Association As-sociation of Utah to prepare and forward for-ward situable resolutions upon the present pres-ent international crisis j'esterday sent the following to President Wilson: Resolved, that the following declaration dec-laration of principles be publu-ly affirmed af-firmed by the llanuf acturers ' Association As-sociation of Utah, and that a copy of the same be sent to the president of our country: .1. That we affirm full and complete com-plete lovalty to our beloved country. coun-try. 2. That we pledge our support to tho president ot the United States, the constitutional leader of the nation. 3. That we assert our belief in ' the patriotism of the individual citizen, of whatever birth or former for-mer nationality. 4. That we believe that a spirit of patriotism; not surpassed in fervor fer-vor or intensity at any time in the national history, lives in the hearts of the entire American people, which only awaits the call of the nation 's leader. 5. That, as American citizens resident in Utah, we declare our readiness to make any sacrifice in-defense in-defense of those principles ot individual indi-vidual liberty and freedom on land and sea for which, this nation has fought three wars, and which con-ytitute con-ytitute the sacred badge of American Ameri-can citizenship. Tha.t Utah wishes to place itself it-self before the nation as unequivocally unequivo-cally devoted to the principles of peace, but only npon the condition that peace can be maintained without with-out the sacrifice of national honor or American principles. |
