Show CICOTTE TO PITCH ANOTHER, SAYS PILOT CHICAGO. Oct. li. Eddie Cicotte, iviio pitched Chicago to victory today, probably prob-ably will face N'ew York in another game ot the series, It was indicated tonight in a statement issued by Clarence Rowland, Row-land, manager ot the Sox. "I ivas glad that Cicotte did what he was expected to do." Mr. Rowland said. "He was stronger against tile Giants at the finish than he was at the start. Eddie Ed-die will beat them the next time easier than he did today. "Joe Jackson's catch in the seventh inning was one of the greatest he ever made and perhaps it saved the game for us. Fred McMullin played a brilliant defensive de-fensive game at third base. John Collins j-deserves honorable mention for the way he hit the ball and ran bases. I non-feel non-feel assured that the world's championship champion-ship will belong to the White Sox." |
