HUNT ORDERED HERE FOR RECRUITING DUTY It Is Believed That This Will Mean an Early Advancement of Captain Watson, Now in Charge. According to information from the war department at Washington, First Lieutenant George W. Hunt of the Philippine scouts, now on duty at Oklahoma Okla-homa City, has been ordered to Salt Lake City for recruiting duty. In army circles this is taken to mean an early advancement for Captain J. B. Watson, in charge of the local .station at present, and who has obtained many times the quota asked, both in I'tah and Idaho, during his efficient incumbency incum-bency of this office. At present all of Captain Watson 's assistants .'.re sergeants or of lower rank. Consequently . the coming of a first lieutenant lends color to the supposition suppo-sition that the new man will be broken in to the new duties that he may become be-come familiar with the routine of the office and territory. In the meantime orders rewarding Captain Watsou for his activity in this field may be expected, expect-ed, as this officer is already in Hue for promotion to a majority.
