In addition to big shipments of fat 'and feeder lambs there has arrived at the yards during the past few days a large 'number 'num-ber of 'breeding and feeder ewes and Monday will be the big market dav for tho mouth to date. On that dav about 4000 breeding and feeder ewes" aro to be offered on the market and it is expected ex-pected that some excellent stock will be availablo at reasonable figures. The past week also saw tfie highest price ever paid for pork in the lnter-mountain lnter-mountain couDtry, hogs reaching 11) cent? a pound Jive weight. During the past year and a half eastern feeders and speculators have shipped out so many feeder and breeding stock hogs that the present demand is greatly in excess of tho supply. With a view to increasing the available avail-able hog supply the Rich-Livingston company is importing several thousand good quality feeder hogs from California. Califor-nia. Three or four cars of these hogs are expected'to reach here in time to be piaced on the market Monday. The cattle run for the past week or ten days has been fair, with a strong ' demand for choice fat steers. |
