Mr. Smith has in mind the installation installa-tion of a few more of those automatic racks which take the half-sole tires back to the rear to be cemented onto the old casing that the customer cus-tomer furnishes to be repaired. At all events he has rented the building adjoining ad-joining his present quarters and will install new machinery to repair old tires and to half-sole them with the Gates treads. The growth of the half-sole business locallv and throughout the entire in-tormountain in-tormountain section is phenominal. says Mr. Smith. This past week, he adds, he has been very busy meeting customers from the outlying country who have become be-come half-sole users and advocates. Business has been coming in so fast the past week, according to Mr. Smith, that his stock of half-sole treads is very much depleted, but another shipment ship-ment is now on the way from the factory fac-tory at Denver.
