Show MAXIMUM PENALTIES GIVEN 'JONES FAMILY' '.ENID, Ok a., Oct. 6. -Maximum penalties pen-alties of a sentence of six years in the federal prison at Leavenworth and a fine of $1000 today were given to each of the eight men convicted of conspiracy con-spiracy to resist the selective draft law. Eight of the eleven defendants in ; the so-called Working Class union and j "Jones family" cases were found guilty yesterday. The others were ac- I quitted. A motion for a new trial was overruled. over-ruled. Defendants were given ninety days in which to file bills of exception, and were allowed bond in the sum of $15,-000 $15,-000 each. |
