The Misses Cteone and Orcel Rich entertained 125 guests at a dan 'in? party Monday evening at the Maids' and Matrons' club. Mondav afternoon, from o until S, Miss Avon Rich and Master Thair Rich gave a dancing party at which 100 of their young friends were entertained. The national na-tional colors prevailed In the decorations, numerous American .flags and stream srs of red, white and blue being effectively arranged in the ballroom. The dining table ta-ble had for its central decoration a large bowl of red roses, from which extended streamers of red, white and blue maline to the four corners. Red-shaded candles placed at each end added to the pretty effect. The color scheme was carried out in the refreshments. Mrs. Fred M. Nye entertained at a prettily pret-tily appointed Kensington Wednesday afternoon aft-ernoon at her home on Jefferson avenue. An elaborate luncheon was served, a outclass out-class bowl of Madame Ward roses, combined com-bined with smilax. forming the centerpiece center-piece for the dining table, where covers were laid for the following guests: Mrs. C. One of the prettiest parties of the season was that given by Mrs. Albert Reed on Wednesday afternoon. The house was decorated in red carnations, and "500" was played, high, honors going to Mrs. A. una Harmer and consolation to Mrs. T. R. Davis. In a guessing- contest, Mrs. J. P. Knowels held high honors and Mrs. IT. A. Castle consolation. Miss Crowley secured the guest prize. Mrs. Herbert Cheney was hostess at a birthday dinner Wednesday, honoring Misses Taintor, Stearns and Anthes. Besides Be-sides the honor guests, covers were laid for the Misses Wheaton, Johnson and Smith. The academy junior promenade was held Saturday evening. The hall was decorated dec-orated in the national colors. About seventy-five couples were present. The patronesses pat-ronesses for the affa-ir were Mrs. Miles F. Reed. Mrs. Herbert Cheney and the Misses Tainter, Elliot and Byrne. The Quilosa club was entertained by the Misses Mabel and Eva Kasiska on Tuesday afternoon. The guests were Mrs. C. A. Bryan. Mrs. E. C.
