Show TROLLEY LEAGUERS 10 friEETTIIUrai Important Matters Regarding Regard-ing New Method of Control Con-trol to Be Discussed. The first meeting of the Salt Lake Trolley league vrill be held next Thursday Thurs-day at 7:30 o'clock at the Western Arms & Sporting Goods company store. The meeting will be for the purpose pur-pose of getting acquainted with new managers of prospective clubs. Several new clubs have sent requests for berths in the league this eeabon and it is the object ot' the officials to pick eight of the best teams in the city. The league will be run on a strictlv amateur basis and will not deal at all with semi-professional players. The league will be specified as class A amateur organization, which is the highest high-est of the amateur class. Care will be taken to place each player in his proper division, which will oe done in co-opera tiou with the newly formed Utah state board of amateur baseball control. All players will have cards showing the ability of the player in past seasons and will be plaved in a leaguo of the proper class. Several important rules which caused several wordy combats last season have been gone over and reconstructed to meet the ideas of the officials and wi!l be analyzed so that all managers will thoroughly understand thorn. George H. Llewellyn, president of last season 's Trolley league, will be chairman of the meeting, and F. L. Klein will act as secretary. Members of the board of control will be on hand to give out any matter which will interest in-terest or benefit the players or managers man-agers and will thoroughly explain the intentions of the commission. All amateur players and managers are invited to be present and special requests have been sent to the following follow-ing firms to have representatives at the meeting: Hewlett Tea company, Superior Baking company, Frampton pharmacy, Tllk Liquor company, Miller-Calioon company, Royal bakery. Murphy Candy company, United States Tire company, Western Heating & Sheet Metal works, McDonald Candy company, Stei-fel Stei-fel 's. Gardner Printing company, Merchants Mer-chants Candy company, Mountain ' States Telephone company, Salt Lake Cleaning company, Model laundry, Regal Re-gal Cleaning company, Webster-Wise company, Portland Cement company, Auerbach company, Sharman Auto company. com-pany.
