Show GOVERNOR SPRY IS GUEST AT ROUNDUP Vesterdav was governor's day at the Granite district roundup, held in the Granite hieh school. Governor William Spry was the guest of honor. "Friday was the opening day of the roundup. More than 1000 persons attended. at-tended. Professor J. H. Paul addressed I the meeting on his favorite subject, "Birds." Other speakers were Professor Steiner on the "Boys' and Girls' Clubs." Miss Wheeler on "Cake-making,' Professor Pro-fessor Richard Lyman on "Good Roads ' and Dr. Earnest on "Animals." ,lr. E. V. Ball, director of the Utah station and director of the school of agriculture at the U. A. C, spoke Friday on the foundations of education. Mrs. ! Osborne Wkltsoe addressed the women's meeting. Dr. AV. E. Carroll of the. U. C. addressed the men's meetings. Music was furnished by the Plymouth school orchestra and by a double trio from the Irving school. j |
