Xot that they are not at all times intensely human; not that they don't relish pleasurable pastimes as much as do civilians, and, above all, not that the charge of being ungallant could justly be lodged against one of j them. So it is that March 24, three weoks from next Wednesday, has been , eet aside aa the day upon which the department's de-partment's annual ga'ia celebration will be held this year. Under the auspices of the police" Mutual' Aid association :he veaily policemen 's ball will be hew at Odeon hall on that date. Arrangements Arrange-ments for the event are in the hands of a committee consisting of Captain J. J. Roberts, Inspector C. A. Carlson, Sergeant C. W. Olsen, Sergeant Thomas Simpson and Captain George Chase. In-dividually In-dividually and collectively the committee commit-tee eolemcly promises that the event will be the "biggest ever." Tickets for distribution have been placed in the hands of members of the organization. |
