Show Salt Lake Opera Quintette Pleases. The Salt Lake Opera quintette. Ruth Ingman, Edna Dwyer, Fred C. Graham, Horace S. Ensign, and Stella Beesley. accompanist, ac-companist, gave concerts last week in Garland and Preston. The concert at Garland was held in the beautiful new Boxelder tabernacle, under-the auspices of the Commercial club. The Preston eon-cert eon-cert was held at the Oneida stake academy, acad-emy, as one of the numbers of the academy acad-emy - course. The singers were received enthusiastically, encores being demanded after each number on tiie program. The following programme was given In each place: Quartette (a) "Rubble" (b) "Tlngle-Ingllng," from "High- Jinks" Friml Baritone solo, "Clang of the Forge" Rodney Mr. Ensign. Trio from "Faust" Gounod Miss Ingman, Mr. Graham, Mr. Ensign. Contralto solo (a) "Alone in Love's Garden". .Gerrard (b) "You and I Alone" Wilson Miss Dwyer. Duet, tenor and baritone "Laughing Duet" Geller Mr. Graham, Mr. Ensign. Piano solo, "Salut a Pesth" (Hungarian (Hun-garian inarch) Kowalski Miss Beesley. Soprano solo, "Giannina Mia," from "Firefly" Friml Miss Ingman. Quartette from "Rigoletto" Verdi Duet, soprano and alto, "Barcarolle" Offenbach Miss Ingman, Miss Dwyer. Tenor solo, "My Dreams" Tostl i Mr. Graham. Quartette (a) "Spinning Quartette" (b) "Good-Night," from "Martha".. Flotow The dates were booked through the office of-fice of the Graham Music bureau. |
