Show SB FAILS 10 STGPJU1CK SALES Buying automobiles in Salt Lake has apparently reached a stage where snowy and inclement weather makes mighty little difference in the number of cars purchased each week. ! Not so many months ago automobile salesmen viewed a protracted enow-storm enow-storm with gloomy looks. From all indications, in-dications, however, there '3 a new order of things in effect now, for during the past week, despite rain, wind and snow, the Eandall-Dodd Auto company Eold a large number of Buicks and Oldsmo-biles. Oldsmo-biles. 1 Prominent among those who purchased pur-chased Buicks is Chief Justice Straup of the supreme court of Utah. Attorney General Barnes, one of the most prominent promi-nent figures of the Utah bar, also purchased pur-chased a Buiek from the Eandall-Dodd companv the past week. Dr. tV. Brown .Ewingr of Salt Lake and E. D. Pomeroy have purchased Buicks, together with George A. Low and J. W. Childs of Salt Lake. A. Scarcelli purchased an Oldsmobile of the Eandall-Dodd company, and these buyers head a long list of sales for this comrjanv the past ten days. I Kd Mooney of Pocatello purchased a Buick 3d roadster, and drove the car through from Salt Lake to Pocatello on Tfiursday. According to advices received by Manager Tourssen of the Eandall-Dodd companv, the manufacturers of the Oldsmobile are in receipt of their first spring trainload order for model 42 tour-ing tour-ing cars. An odd coincidence is that the order, which originated with one of their distributors, C. H. Larson of Xew York Citv, calls for immediate shipment ship-ment of " not less than 120 cars, and when loaded the ears will occupy forty-two freight cars so there will be fortv-two carloads of model 42.
