Show JENNIEGOODRICH Jennie Goodrich celebrates 92 years The family members of Jennie Elizabeth Case Goodrich held a party in honor of her 92nd birthday on Saturday, Aug. 16 at "Remember the Maine" Park. A lovely roast beef dinner and games were enjoyed by all who attended. at-tended. Mrs. Goodrich was born in Jensen, to Frederick Aaron and Mary Ann Humble Case. She is one of nine children. She attended schools in Jensen and graduated from the Uintah State Academy. Later, the family moved to Mt. Emmons, Utah and pioneered there. Mrs. Goodrich taught school in Blueblell, Duchesne County. It was there she met and married Gardner L. Goodrich on Oct. 17, 1913 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died Nov. 9, 1961. Mrs. Goodrich's children are: Floyd Goodrich, Covina, Calif.; Mrs. Wallace (Garda) Seeley, Bluebell; Mrs. Morris (Delores) Monsen, Vernal; Mrs. Alma (Jeanne) Richman, Provo; Mrs. Duane (Marilyn) Young, Sandy. She has 23 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. grand-children. Her activities in community and church affairs have been inspiring to all who have known her. At age 82, she took her first art lesson and since that time has completed 65 paintings' for family and friends. She is currently living with her daughter, Delores and Morris Monsen. |
