Golfers win junior crowns Troy Oaks edged Brad Mauss in a playoff for first place in the 12-14 year old division in the Vernal Junior Golf Tournament, August 19. Oaks and Mauss fired scores of 42 on nine holes. Gary Swim placed third at 46 and Jeff Drollinger netted fourth place nt 50. Kick York and David Gurr tied for fifth place nt 51. Steve Hatch netted seventh place nt 57 and Max Spiker placed eighth at 59. Mike Slaugh picked up ninth place honors nt 61 and Jeff Shiner placed tenth nt 64. Gary Murray netted 11th place nt 69. Cohl Pope pocketed first place in the 9 11 year old class with a score of 47. Mike Baird placed second at 48 and Todd Shiner garnered third place at 57. Scolt Haird netted fourth place nt 69 on five holes. Shane Oaks placed first in the 71 year old division with a five hole score of 37. Mari Green placed first in the girls' division with a nine hole score of 53. Heidi Green netted second place ( r6 and Michelle Green nabbed third place at 57. Shealah Clark garnered fourth place nt 65. Doug Uowen garnered first place in the 15 16 year old class with tin 1H hole score of 92. Brandon Jones placed second nt 101 and Todd Leech netted third place nt 141. |
