Show ...... i .i I ' 'wf'V'nwr RUTH ROBERTS Ruth Roberts interred in Meeker, Colorado Ruth Thayer Roberts, 65, died of carbon car-bon monoxide intoxication at her home in Vernal, Aug. 21, 1980. She was born Dec. 5, 1914 in Cody, Wyo. to Simeon and Vera Bovard Thayer. She married Chester A. (Slim) Roberts in Cody, Wyo., Dec. 5, 1940. Mrs. Roberts was the eldest of five children. The family made their home in Cody until December 1948 when they moved to Rangely, Colo, in 1952, they moved to a small oil field between Meeker and Craig, Colo. In 1973, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts moved to Vernal as their retirement home. Mr. Roberts worked 31 years for Texaco. She was a member of the Vernal Christian Church. Chur-ch. Survivors are her husband of Vernal; two sons, Charles Alan of Amarillo, Texas and Richard Dean of Hayden, Colo.; five grandhcildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Winnifred Barnhart of Cody, Wyo., and Mrs. Lucille Roath of Vaughn, Mont. A son, Warren Thayer, preceded her in death. Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Vernal Mortuary. Rev. Dale Crowell of the Vernal Christian Church conducted. Rev. Evan Lockwood conducted commital services ser-vices in Meeker, Colo. She was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Meeker, Colo. |
