Show Shrine Barbecue VERNAL SPECIAL The Annual Shrine Barbecue was held Sunday at the recreation facility near the Dinaland Golf Course. Clayton Hatch, president Vernal Shrine Club reported that about 2,000 people were served.' The weather cooperated with a cool, enjoyable day. Four daring sky divers entertained during the dinner. Merlin Sinfield, BobSabey, Brad Hooenbaugh, from Rangely, and Wayne Collins from Salt Lake City, jumped from 8,000 feet altitude to give the crowd a thrill when they landed nearby. Dinaland Aviation provided the plane. The men reported they had all learned sport jumping just for adventure and fun. The Shrine Illustrious Potentate, Don Hales, and his Divan and other Shriners from the Salt Lake and other areas, comprising two bus loads of people, arrived Saturday.
