Show CAMP VERNAL DUP Camp Vernal DUP held a summer picnic at the Bicentennial pavilion Thursday, Aug. 21. Captain Leora Jacobe was in charge. The tables were appropriately decorated with fall flowers and sage. Each member had been assigned to bring a dish. Lunch was served buffet style. Elizabeth Hatch offered of-fered a prayer and a blessing on the food. Captain Jacobe read an interesting article, befitting the season-Musings, season-Musings, by Judy Magid, "Everything Depends on the Apricot Crop." During lunch. Sonja Seeley entertained the group by playing the harmonica and singing several of her own compositions, including. "Isn't Life Wonderful," "You're Special -Believe in Yourself," and "Eternal Truths," accompanying ac-companying herself on the guitar. The afternoon was spent visiting and reminiscing. Guests were Jane Wall, Ada Adnerson and Lorene Anderson. Mrs. Wall and Ada Anderson An-derson will be voted in as now members at the next meeting. Fourteen members attended and enjoyed a lovely afternoon. |
