There is an interesting exposure of nickel ore on one of the claims. PLAN TO REVIVE HORN SILVER NEAR PIOCHE William A. (" Roadside ") Smith has acquired tho Horn Silver mine, from the Knglish interests and is holding the property under a bond nnd lease, according to the Pioehc Record. The property coneiMs of six patented claims nnd is completely equipped with build inc and a small camp. Tho Horn Silver mine is located about twenty-eight miles northwest f l'iocho and about three miles northeast of the old Bristol smelter, or six miles from the Bristol mine. There is a shaft, on this claim, but it was not sunk on the ore. William Lloyd, one of the best known mining operators of Tioehn before his death some years ngo, made the statement state-ment thnt he had never seen a better surface showing for making a large producer thnn the showing on tho Horn Silver mine. K, K. (iodbe tested the ores of the Horn Silver mine nnd considered that it. was perfectly adapted to the cyanide process of treatment. He obtained nn extraction of 00 per cent of tho silver with ft cyanide consumption of but one-half one-half n pound to the ton of ore. The concentration obtained nssayed over Mm) ounces. Nothing hns been done nt the prop erty during recent years, although X K.
