Chandler of Bingham Bing-ham Back From Two Years' Service. Mrs. George Chandler of Bingham, widow of Lieutenant George Chandler, who recently died in France, has returned re-turned home after two rears' service abroad with the Red Cross. Lieutenant and Mrs. Chandler sailed for France as volunteers in August, 1917. At Paris Lieutenant Chandler joined the French army and his wife affiliated herself with the Eed Cross, j "When the American soldiers arrived I Lieutenant Chandler was transferred to the first division. L'nited States armv, with which organization he served until the armistice was signed. After the fighting had ceased Mrs, Chandler went with the United States food administration to Austria, but was called back to Paris on account of the illness of her husband. She was at his bedside when death came. |
