Show l LOGAN f , . LOGAN, Oct. 26. Mr. and Mrs. G. TV. Thatcher entertained at tea Sunday evening, eve-ning, in compliment to Miss Florence Smith. A basket of marlpolds and cosmos cos-mos in yellow and white formed a centerpiece cen-terpiece for the table. Covers were laid for twelve. Following the tea a social evening -,va spent. Monday evening the members of the Vorna Law club gave a surprise partv for Miss Afton Odell.. They gathered at her home early in the evening, dressed in costume, and spent a delightful evening eve-ning playing games. Prizes were awarded award-ed to Alice Pederson and Blanch Budge for representing the best characters. The evening wag concluded with refreshments. refresh-ments. Those present were Misses Alice Pedert-on, Flora Amussen, Blanche Budge. Adelaide Xeilsen, Frances Thomas. Rachel Bankhead. Martha Thatcher. Evelyn Ballif and May ma Bo wen. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bennion entertained at dinner Sunday. A basket of fall flowers flow-ers formed the centerpiece for the table. Covers were laid for ten. A social evening eve-ning followed the dinner. Miss Kffie Spenst entertained a group of friends on Wednesday evening of last week. Games and music were the entertainment. en-tertainment. At the conclusion of the evening refreshments were served. Kight gucMs nere included. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Meldrum are receiving receiv-ing congratulations over the arrival of a daughter, born Sunday. October 20. Mr. Meldrum is "somewhere in France." Mrs. Meldrum is here with her mother, Mrs. Julia B. N'lhly. Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Thatcher motored to Salt Lake Thursday for an indefinite stny. Mr. and Mrs. Blain Alexander and little lit-tle daughter departed yesterday for Po-eatello, Po-eatello, Idaho, for their 'future residence. Miss Penlna WrathaU. who has been attending- school at the Utah Agricultural college, departed Monday for her home at Grantsvillo until school reopenw. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Harmon and two little sons motored from Brtgham City Wednesday evening, where Mrs. Harmon Har-mon had spent ten days visiting with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon departed yest- rday for Pocatello. Idaho, for future residence. Misses Hilma Matthews. Ann Crltch-Ijw Crltch-Ijw ?nd Gladys Bedke. who have been attending school at the Utah Agricultural college, departed Monday for their homes at Oakley. Idaho, where they will remain re-main until the schools reopen. All the clubs of the city are closed during the epidemic uf influenza. |
