Many members have enjoyed nn afternoon there, and since the closing of the schools the children have been taken along for a day's outdoor vacation. A few informal knitting knit-ting parties also have been features of the week. Mrs. John F. Nugent of Boise, wife of the junior senator from Idaho, was honored with a gift in the form of a silver plate with a red cross engraved emblem iu the center, presented to her at a luncheon given recently in Washington, Wash-ington, D.
