"Packages must be forwarded, by parcel post or express so that they will reach South Brooklyn, New York, on or before be-fore November 15. "Packages forwarded to "United States naval forces on board ship are limited to twenty pounds in weight and must measure not to exceed two cubic feet in volume. "No perishable food products other than those enclosed in cans or glass jars should be packed in parcel post or express ex-press shipments. "All packages must be plainly marked with the name and address of the sender, together with a notation indicating the nature of the contents, such as 'Christmas box' or 'Christmas carton.' "The supply officer at South Brooklyn Brook-lyn will cause each express package to be opened and carefully examined to see that nothing of an explosive or other dangerous dan-gerous character is forwarded. "The shipment of Christmas packages for United States naval vessels abroad must be made so as to reach the supply officer at South Brooklyn, New York, as soon as possible, and in any circumstances circum-stances not later than November 15. "Comply with all instructions minutely, as non-compliance undoubtedly will mean non-delivery of package." American soldiers in Siberia may receive re-ceive Christmas parcels from home through the usual mail channels. No order or-der slip will be necessary.
