Show COMPLETE PERIOD OF DAYLIGHT SAVING WASHINGTON, Oct. 26. The American Ameri-can public tonight completed Its first period of "daylight saving," satisfied with its results. Although officially clocks were noC-to be turned back an hour until 2 o'clock tomorrow morning, for the average aver-age citizen the change of time was made tonight either by turning hack the hands of time pieces or stopping them before going to bed. At the naval observatory" ah preparations prepara-tions had been made tonight for the change in time. The clocks at the observatory, ob-servatory, by which the nation measures time, were npt to be turned back. Tomorrow To-morrow at noon the observatory merely will send out 75th instead of 60th meridian meri-dian time. By order of Director General McAdoo all trains en route at 2 o'clock tomorrow will proceed to the nearest station for a wait of one hour and then resume their schedule. , Beyond the physical turning bark of clocks and watches the change scarcely will be noticed by the average American.
