SALT LAKE PRICES BELOW AVERAGE That the average price of cltv building build-ing lots is lower in Salt Lake than in other cities of the countrv of similar size is the statement of D. C. Kimball, president of Kimball & Richards, "land Merchants." This fact is conclusively proved when local prices are compared with what the United States government Is paying- for building- lots, in wholesale quantities, which they have been buying In various Industrial cities for housing government employees. For cities of the population of Salt Lake and smaller, the average price paid by the government Is $750 to 1900 each for forty-foot lots. The average price of fifty-foot lots in the newer residence sections of Salt Lake is from $500 to $700. This shows that local lot buyers get 25 per cent more land for 20 per cent less money than Uncle Sam |
