Show BRIGHAM CITY IS IN GRIP OF INFLUENZA Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, Oct. 2fi. Spanish influenza in-fluenza continues to spread in Brigham 9 City and last night Sanitary Inspector I John H. Burt reported that 175 cases had developed. Five deaths have occurred here, three E? during t he present week. Three of the p city's physicians are bedfagt with the malady. Dr. D. W. Henderson, Dr. R. A. Pearse and Dr. A. D. Cooley have been fighting the disease for the past week and Dr. Henderson's condition is critical. Dr. E. A. Weymulier Is the only doctor here who is not ill. and he has been giving all the aid possible. Superintendent F. W. Hunter of the lo-cal lo-cal sugar factory says that the factory is handicapped and he has sent out 'word for at least forty men at once. So many of the employees have taken down with influenza that there was fear at one time of having to close down the factory. Every precautionary measure Is being taken by citizens generally to hold the disease in check, until the epidemic is over. |
