Mine ownrrs and lessees of the Tintic district are now receiving re-ceiving notices of the amounts which they will be ex pec i od to pay on their net proceeds lor the year IfllT. under the terms of the rtate's occupation tav. law. Not only ore the state officers calling upon these mining operators for '6 ier cent of I liMr proliU for the Inst year, but the counties in which the mines arc lo'-atevl are likewise reaching out for hoi no of this money. Notices which have been issued from the county treasurer's office indii ate that the county taxes on the net proceeds from mines and blocks of mining ground worked under tho leasing leas-ing system will amount to another 3 per cent, or approximately that amount. This means I ha t the. company or individual who made money in tho operation of mining min-ing property during KM 7 will have these taxcfe added to the federal taxes.
