NEGROES RAID JAIL; TEN PERSONS SHOT NORFOLK, Va., Sept 21. Between three and four hundred negro civilians headed by a score of negro soldiers from Camp Alexander, tonigrht attacked a police station in an effort to rescue two soldiers, sol-diers, arrested by the police on the charge of robbing- the cash register of a photographer's photog-rapher's studio. Windows of the station sta-tion were smashed by flying bullets, bricks and bottles. Ten negro soldiers and civilians were shot in the exchange of bullets before the arrival of reserves from the central station sta-tion and naval guards. Police have arrested ar-rested the leaders.
