Women Workers for Liberty Loan to Start Drive GEN3A PEESHING'S brother will address one of the largest luncheons for women ever gathered in the interest of a war drive in-Utah in-Utah next Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, when all of the women interested in Liberty loan work will meet at the Commercial dab. The officials of the woman's Liberty Lib-erty loan committee in charge of the luncheon have extended a general gen-eral invitation for all women interested inter-ested in Liberty loan work to attend, at-tend, but because cf the limited capacity ca-pacity of the Commercial club dining din-ing room they have stipulated that all reservations for the luncheon mast be in by 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. The luncheon planned is to ba simple; there will be music, and one of the most interesting and enthusiastic gatherings ever held in Salt Lake is expected. Reservations may be made by telephone by calling call-ing the Commercial club at Wa-. Wa-. satch S3. The ten cities and towns in tlip Twelfth federal reserve district which make the best showing in the fourth Liberty loan drive, are to have their names painted on the sides of United States fighting war las and are to be carried over the German lines, so that the fleeing Huns may see who are responsible for their plight. This honor is to be given on the basis of accomplishment accom-plishment in the coming fourth Liberty loan, bnt the exact manner in -which the winning cities and towns will be chosen has not been determined. . George A. Van Smith, manager of publicity in the Twelfth federal reserve re-serve district at San 1'rancisco, is in receipt of a telegram from Washington, L C, announcing that permission had been granted by the tank corps of the war department to carry out the plan. Tan Smith made the request on a recent trip to Washington. Appeals by Letter. Every indication points to a remarkable remark-able success for "'Volunteer day."
