' Americans were pleased and grateful to hear that the British intelligence department depart-ment went to this expense and trouble to proclaim the American victory. The maps are printed In German and French, and Illustrate how the Americans bit off the deep German pocket on tho first day and advanced on the two succeeding days. In the right hand corner, In blazing red letters, under the haading- "The American victory." a. table shows that the Yanks captured on September 12 6 W0 prisoners and ni n e ry guns and brought the total up to 22,500 prisoners and 130 guns the next day, while by September 14 the totals had been brought up to 15,000 prisoners and 200 g-una.
