Show WAR MOTHERS HONOR MRS. S. I. CLAWS ON Word has just been received in Salt Lake City that Mrs. Seldon I. Clawson was elected treasurer of the War Mothers of America in the national convention of that organization held recently at Evans-ville, Evans-ville, Ind. Mrs. Robert Carlton Morris of Toledo, Ohio, was unanimously elected president of the association and Mrs. Alice Gresham Dodd, mother of the first American soldier to fail in action in France, was made honorary president. Every state that had delegates at the convention is to be represented in the organization by a vice-president. Mrs. John Q. Cannon, president of the Utah chapter,, was chosen to represent this state in that capacity. There was keen rivalry at the convention conven-tion when it came to the matter of selecting select-ing a permanent najme for the associa- tion. Many were submitted for consideration, considera-tion, but the delegates finally made the decision unanimous in favor of "War Mothers of America." Evansvilie, Ind., was named as the permanent headquarters headquar-ters of the organization. A constitution was adopted. |
