Show BATES STEEL MULE AT ME FAIR Manager C. J. Simpson of the Facific Nash Motor company, local distributor of the Bates Steel Mule, who left last week for Idaho to prepare for his company's com-pany's exhibit at the Idaho state fair, announced before leaving that he had made arrangements for a complete demonstration dem-onstration of the Bates Steel Mule tractor trac-tor at the Idaho fair. Simpson states that several carloads of the Bates Steel Mule tractors are now en route from the factory at Joitet, 111., but, owing to the fact that freight shipments ship-ments cannot be depended upon, he wired for two of the "steel mules" to be sent by express to Boise to insure ample time for preparations for the exhibit. This is i a tremendous express shipment, as each tractor weighs 4300 pounds, but Simpson states that the importance of the demonstration dem-onstration cannot be overestimated, and will be well worth the expense of shipping ship-ping the tractors by express. Simpson will be personally in charge of the demonstration at the Idaho fair, and also at the Utah state fair the following week, and states that at both demonstrations demonstra-tions the Bates Steel Mule will be put through all its paces, including the pulling pull-ing of gang plows, hauling heavy loads and operating machinery. Simpson also states that much good territory in Utah, Idaho and eastern Nevada is open for agents, and that he will be glad to meet all who are interested, either at the fair grounds or at the company's offices at 37 West Fourth South street. |
