Show SAGE ADVICE FOR I ALL OILCOfJSUffi W. F. Culmer Says Motoring Motor-ing Public Has a Certain Duty to Perform. "There is plenty of coal ami sugar m the United States, yet certain parts oi the country are experiencing a famine in hot h these commodities' rcrnarkco j W. Culmer yesterday. t " C speak ol this matter merely to j make it clear that although there is j more oil and gasoline heiu produced now than ever before, there eau be a shortage of either or both if the public docs not do its part to avoid it. ' ' We have had the unfortunate experience ex-perience only last fall of having orders for several carloads oi the various '"Julco oils an our files and of having eight carloads bought and paid for delayed in the east through lack of transportation transporta-tion facilities, while customers were asking, us for early shipment. ".Such situation will be materially helped, but not. entirely overcome, uow jlhat the government has taken over the M?r railroads, and the point 1 wish to bring out is this: "People who own automobiles should first of all inform their dealers about how much oil and gasoline they expect to use for the coming six nfonths in order or-der that the dealer may in turn notify I his jobber and the jobber thus fore- warned may be able to' secure ample supply during the early spring months and incidentally may secure more favorable favor-able price concessions as well. t 1 i I would also strongly emphasize both the moral and financial good resultant re-sultant upon local users concentrating on local, oils so far as possible. "The government is urging people to buy locally everything they can it saves shipping, saves expense and-promotes prosperity at home. "The theory that eastern oils arc better is merely a delusion that eastern manufacturers are keeping alive -because rt pays them handsomely to do so. "As a matter of fact the entire Culco line of oils are sold with an absolute guarantee that they must prove better than any other oils for similar purpose at equal price or the full purchase price will be returned without question. "While many oils sol in this market mar-ket are unfit for use in high-class automobiles auto-mobiles Culco oils are backed by a firm of uDrpiestioned standing, are unconditionally uncondi-tionally guaranteed, and the eqnal if ( not. the superior of any oils made re- i gardless of price. J "To insure a continuance of Quality in oils, to avoid even the possibility of J a shortage, 1 sincerely recommend that J every user of oils for any purpose keep ' the above remarks in mind, and act j upon the suggestions made." |
