Show SALT LAKER THANKED FOR HIS INVENTION j Another Salt Laker has been thanked by the government for his patriotic intentions in-tentions in his offer of an invention which will expedite transportation in the war zone. E. T. Woolley, who has patented a device de-vice for roadway for auto trucks, recently re-cently made an offer of his device to .the government, the same to be without pay. Yesterday be received a letter from the naval consult ing hoard at Washington, signed by Joseph W. Richards, and dated December 29, as follows: pear Sir We have received from Mr. W. C. Ebaugh your letter, copy of patent application and two photographs, photo-graphs, concerning improvements in roadways, which we are referring to the division of transportation, war department, for consideration. Thanking Thank-ing you for your patriotic intentions. Mr. Woolley is much elated over this recognition of his offer and is inclined to believe that it will "go over the top." |
