Show , DECIDES IN FAVOR OF j SUBMARINE VICTIM Husband of Woman Who Went Down on Arabic Given Judgment in Wisconsin Suit. MADISON, Wis., Jan. 5. The supreme su-preme court of "Wisconsin passed on its first submarine case today. Dr. Edmund Ed-mund l' Woods of Janesville was submarined sub-marined on tho Arabic. His widow sued the Standard Accident Insurance company ,f'or $2500 insurance. The court decided in her favor today. Dr. Woods carried accident policies in three companies, two of whom paid, but the Standard Accident Insurance company claimed it could not be held if the insured came to his death while hunting or if killed by explosives. The company appealed on the ground that the death was the result of- an explosive. ex-plosive. The supreme court today found death was "accidental." Dr. Woods was a passenger on the Arabic returning from l?ranc-ef where he had been doing Red Cross work. |
