Show TOOELE RED CROSS DOING GOOD WORK Two More Large Boxes of Supplies Are Forwarded to Headquarters at Denver. Special to The Tribune. TOOELE, Jan. 5. The Tooele county Red Cross chapter shipped to headquarters headquar-ters at Denver today, under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. K. B. Summer, chairman of the packing and shipping committee of the Tooele county chapter, two large boxes of the following garments, made in the past six weeks by the members of this chapter: 36 triangular bandages, band-ages, 30 operation leggins, 72 operation caps. 2 bed shirts, 24 operation gowns, 12 abdominal bandages, 21 shoulder wraDS. 12 bath robes, 9(3 handkerchiefs, IS nairn pajamas, 10 pairs wristlets, 52 pairs of socks, 6 sweaters, 2 scarfs and 3 helmets. The Ijoxes were made by the boy students of the Tooele high school from lumber donated by the Tooele-Bonni-ville Lumber company. The garments were carefully inspected by Mrs. Lottie Shields prior to being shipped. The secretary of the Tooele countv chapter, Mrs. Elmer G. Smith, received word from the headquarters nt Denver that all garments received so far from this chapter have been up to the requirements re-quirements of the main headquarters and all have been received with satisfaction. sat-isfaction. Mrs. Smith also reports that she received during the week $40, the proceeds pro-ceeds of a dance given by the Gold Hill auxiliary, and .flo.no, the proceeds from a picture show entertainment given at Stockton by the local branch. |
