Greene-wald Greene-wald of the Mercer & Jordan Sales company, local .Mercer distributors, the Mercer Automobile company of Trenton, Tren-ton, X. .1., is about ready to begin distribution of a new lot of cars. As was to lie expected all models are equipped with four-cyli ml or motors, it being the established policy of the Mercer to specialize on motors of only four cylinders. The lines of the previous pre-vious Mercers, which have achieved such pronounced popularity during the past season have been closely adhered to. Several improvements and refinements refine-ments have been made, but there are no radical changes in cither chassis or bodies. Four different body styles -are offered of-fered a touring, a four-passenger sporting, a runabout and a raceabout. The touring model is a very roomy car, particularly adapted to family use, while the f on r-passengcr sporting model is all that its name implies, appealing ap-pealing to the man who wants a light car witlf plenty of sua p and ginger. Both of these models huve a chassis of i;)2-ineh whcelbasc. The body details have been worked out with great care. For instance, the auxiliary seat compartment of the six-passeng'T six-passeng'T is finished in blacU walnut panelling. Doors that roll out of sight, just like a roll-top desk cover, hide the extra seats from view when they are not in use. A complete set of tools is carried in special compartments built into the front doors. Under the center cowl of the sporting sport-ing model are three separate compartments compart-ments also covered with black walnut panelling. Tho middle compartment is sufficiently large to carry a good-sized suit case, while the compartments on either side can .be used for the carrying carry-ing of thermos bottles or miscellaneous items. |
