This past summer, Jim wrote a book for the U.S. Forest Service on the history of wildlife management in the Intermountain Region. He is currently president of the Utah Chapter of the Wildlife Society, and served on the Board of Directors for the Outdoor Writers Association of America. He is a member of the Vernal Chamber of Commerce, Vernal Elks Club, Dinaland Country Club, and St. James Catholic Church. Jim was born in Newsburgh, N.Y., Nov. 9, 1940. He is a graduate of Utah State University in the field of Forestry and Wildlife Biology. He and his wife, Lois Dudley Zumbo, of Jensen, came to Vernal 7 years ago through Jim's employment, the Bureau of Land Management. They are the parents of four children: Janette, 16, Danny, 15, Judi, 10, and Angela, 1. |
