Show HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS A legend for Christmas By Erma Jean Lee Once upon a time on ancient earth when IhuaMazda ruled the heaven and the King of the Sun ruled the land, a new cylce came upon the sun's travels. This is a legend, of course, but it seems there was disharmony in those ancient kingdoms and among the gods of that time. A great one spoke about problems encountered: en-countered: "The strongest, best man in the community is he who labors most to perfect the unit, that is, the Person of the community; the strongest man in the nation is he who laboreth most to perfect the Person of the nation; the strongest man in heaven is he who laboreth most to perfect the All Person (Creator) of heaven. "The weakest of men is the opposite of these; he labors to show there is no Creator in anything; verily, he is already falling away from the Most High. He accuseth himself, for he says, 'I neither see nor hear a Creator, nor believe I in one.' "It is a wise man who, finding he is going into disbelief too much, corrects himself. And he is not less wise, who, finding he believes too much, and hence, investigates not at all, corrects himself. "It was said of old, first, testimony; second, belief ; third, faith; and fourth, works; but I declare unto you that, with the expansion of knowledge (technology, scientific facts ejl), testimony must be strengthened. For in the olden times, angels and men could be commended to believe and they believed. "Herein, have many of the Lords and the Gods of the lower heavens erred, for they furnished not to those beneath them the necessary testimony comporting compor-ting with the advanced knowledge in heaven or in earth. A God shall be swift in devising food for meditation, for angels as well as mortals, without an advanced teacher, are as well off with none at all! "It was said of old that a God taught the people on one of the stars to believe the Creator lived in a straw, and they rose in wisdom, harmony, and unity. Then, afterward, another God came and taught them there was no Creator, because, forsooth, He could not live in a straw; and the people fell into dibelief and inharmony and disunion. Which, then, was the better God? "Yet I declare unto you, they were "Man by nature is fond of novelty." Pliny The Elder both necessary! for without a habitation habita-tion and a figure, the Great Spirit cannot can-not be taught to either angels or mortals mor-tals in the first place. The labor of the Gods is to lead the people upward, step by step, until they learn to be Gods and Goddesses themselves. "On this earth, mortals were taught through stone and wooden idols; and afterward by engraved images. In some of the mixed tribes it will be necessary to teach them incarnated YHVH in mortal form, and by sympathy sym-pathy for his sufferings, teach them how to follow his spirit up to heaven. But all these subterfuges shall be set aside in a coming cosmic area. ... "Of all things, let your labor be fire of all, to sow the seed of belief in an All Person, the Great Spirit. As ye now sow, and build the Creator's kingdom in your heaven, so, in the coming era, will the same teaching take root in the souls of mortals." end. The seeds of belief have taken root in millions of souls in our era, and yet, few of these souls can be commanded to believe or no believe. Stanley Rader wrote an article "Return of the Inquisition" Inquisi-tion" in a magazine, "Plain Truth". He describes torture and interrogation of a religious prisoner who was later killed, a martyr of the old Christian religion. He also describes a young lady kidnapped kidnap-ped and coerced into isolation. The victim vic-tim was "locked in a small bathroom, stripped of her clothes and yelled at. Her prayer books were taken away and her rosary beads damaged." All this was done by deprogrammers he calls "new returners of the inquisition." He says a law professor calls their behavior "Medieval." Is it? The gentle hero of Christmas commanded com-manded demons, not people. He taught of a Being greater than he who helped him achieve the healings, the services, and the final rites of ministry. The ancient legend seems to speak , truth in that people were taught by a , Supreme Being in whatever manner ; they could accept in that age of mankind. Man has always been given a ; choice... except when 'conflicts among Gods' decreed sacrifice and war. Is there peace on the soil where the an- ! cient master walked? We are human beings, limited at ! times, but capable of love, active peace, and good will to friends and strangers alike. Shall we be aware this Christmas that truth is in the face of a babe, as well as in the splendor of elements and stars? ' Merry Christmas or Greetings of the Season to all in 1980! May your New 1 Year be better than this one... in self and worship. |
