The Utes' varsity team host the Vernal Tournament of pions, Jan. 9 and 10. The Uintah s are the defending champions. !s Utes will have four wrestling i in one week. Uintah will take on .ion Cougars in Roosevelt on Jan. .ad will host Cyprus, Jan 15 and Meeker, Jan. 16. Uintah will battle Green River in Wyoming, Jan. 17. Uintah will compete in the Green River Tournament on Jan. 23 and 24. Meeker and Green River captured state crowns in 1979. Uintah will host Tooele on Jan. 28 and will battle the Beetdiggers at Jordan on Jan. 19 in region battles. The Utes will take on Steamboat Springs in an away meet on Jan. 31. Uintah will host the Region 7 Wrestling Tournament on Feb. 5 and will take part in the 3-A State Tournament Tour-nament on Feb. 12-14 at Weber State College. The Utes are the defending 3-A champs. |
