Show r ... ' v WW- i n i L '. ; SHELLEY SMUIN became the bride of Jim Caldwell, Nov. 21. The wedding was held in the Davis 1st Ward. Services were performed per-formed by the bride's father, Bishop Rex Smuin. Wedding ceremony joins Smuin -Caldwell Shelley Smuin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Smuin of Vernal, and Jim Caldwell, son of Craig Caldwell and Marilyn Caldwell of Vernal were united in marriage Nov. 21 at the Davis 1st Ward Chapel. Shelley's father, Bishop Rex Smuin performed the marriage services. A reception in the couple's honor was., held Nov. 21 at the Davis 1st Ward ' Chapel. Shelley's bridal dress was white organdy designed with an empire waistline. Luster sheer and chantilly lace overlayed the dress. Versaille drape skirt was caught with irridescent flowers. The bridal train of was semi-cathedral semi-cathedral length. The neckline was trimmed in lace extending up to a high stand up collar in the back. Two layer fingertip length sheer veil was edged with lace and attached to a laced headpiece. The bride carried a cascading knee length bouquet of red roses and pink carnations accented with baby breath trimmed with white lace and burgandy ribbon. Attending the bride were Maid of Honor, Stacy Voorhies. Tamra Hunting, Hun-ting, Debbie Calder and Tara Caldwell were bridesmaids in the wedding ceremony while Terryl Smuin and Jenny Calder were flower girls. Stacy wore a dark pink full length dress and held a bouquet of roses and carnations accented with baby breath trimmed with white lace ribbon. Tamra, Debbie and Tara wore flowered full length pink dresses and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations accented with baby breath and pink lace ribbon. Terryl and Jenny wore full length pale pink dresses and had a hairpiece of flowers of daisies and a carnation centered with baby breath and pale pink ribbon added. Mrs. Rex Smuin, the bride's mother, wore a pink print floor length dress with long sleeves and a gathered . waistline. The v-shaped neckline of the " dress was trimmed with a ruffle. Mrs. , Smuin wore a corsage of red rose buds trimmed with pink ribbon. Marilyn Caldwell, the groom's mother, wore a 3 tier full length pink chiffon dress with draped turtle neck. Marilyn wore a red rose bud corsage trimmed with pink ribbon. Jim choose John Hatch as his best-man best-man for the wedding. John wore a burgandy tuxedo and a pink carnation boutonniere. Jim, the groom, wore a silver tuxedo with a pink carnation and red rosebud boutonniere. Jim's father, Craig Caldwell, wore a burgandy tuxedo and a pink carnation boutonniere. Rhett Rasmussen was the usher for the wedding.' He wore a burgandy tuxedo and a pink carnation boutonniere. Donna Merrill did the catering for the wedding. A pale pink tricot drape backdrop back-drop was assembled behind the reception line decorated with silk flowers of pink and burgandy color. The hall was decorated in the bride's colors of pink and burgandy. Linda Cammack attended to the guest book while Dorothy Anderson, Beverly Merkley and Peggy Siddoway organized the gift room. Gift bearers were Steven Bascom, Dustin Henline and Bruce Jones. Serving was carried out by Michele Bascom, Tammy " Sadlier, Sherry Smuin and Tina Smuin. Donna Merrill, Wilma Davidson and Karen Combs were in charge of kitchen duties. Shelley and Jim's cake was a four layer cake iced with pale pink frosting and white lacing. The bas3 of the cake was four heart shaped cakes then a water fountain surrounded by six pillars and topped with two more layers of cake. Three cherubs held up the top layer and three pink and white bells rested on the top tier, trimmed with pink and burgandy flowers. Special out-of-town guests attending the wedding and reception were Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Elliott; Mrs. Jay Wall; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pitt; Miss Jolynn Pitt all from Salt Lake City. From Price, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smuin. Mr. and Mrs. James Holmes came from Heber City and Mrs. and Mrs. Dave Anderson came from Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Elliott and Mrs. Ethyl Height attended the wed- ding from Farmington, Utah. Mrs. Bessie Gourdon traveled from Provo A personal shower was given to the bride by Linda Cammack and Lisa Reynolds. A kitchen shower was held for Shelley by Gayla and Gaylynn Holmes. The couple will make their lio:ne in Vernal. |
