And, Paraho, with $17.6 million to actually construct the plant designed to produce 30,000 barrels of oil per day from oil shale, also near Bonanza. Total cost of the project is $35.2 million. All award amounts are subject to final negotiations between the project sponsors and the Energy Department. . If all projects were operating, Utah would produce the equivalent of 117,000 barrels of oil per day. "'' !
