C Hibbard of Seattle. Miss Joyce and Mrs. Hiobard will spend several weeks motoring through California. Mrs. C. B. Fagg, formerly Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Reeder of this city, is here from Los Angeles for a visit of several months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. PL Reeder. Dr. and Mrs. J. W. V. Rocke-! Rocke-! feller, left Wednesday for Camp Taylor, Ky., where Captain Norris will be dis charged. Captain Norris has Just returned re-turned from a year's service overseas. He may return to lake up the practice of medicine here after completing a postgraduate post-graduate course in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Al White of Los Angeles are visiting friends in Ogden. They are former residents of this city. Mrs. Mary de Lacey Kennedy left Wednesday for Park City, where she will visit for a week before going to Bay Point, Cal., to join her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy will remain in California for some time, but expect to make their permanent home In New York City. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ross have returned from Butte, Mont., where they were called by the death of Mrs. Thomas Blythe, a sister of Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Ross, Mrs. J. A. Hanson is visiting friends and relatives in Brlgham City. I OGDEN I OGDEN. May 17. Mrs. D. O. McKay entertained the Acacia club at her home Friday afternoon.. Mrs. XV. R. Emmett read two short stories and a musical program was rendered by David, Llewellyn Llew-ellyn and Lou Jean McKay, sons of the hostess. Refreshments were served at the close of the afternoon. Miss Ellen Thomas, Mrs. Douglas Watson, Mrs. Joel E. Ricks and . Mrs. Thomas McKay were guests of the club. The musicale given Tuesday afternoon at the Berthana by the Sempre Musical society was . the most prominent social event of the week. A delightful program was given bv David Reese, tenor, of Salt Lake assisted by Arthur Freber, violinist, and Lawrence Ebeiiy, pianist. The blue room and reception room were decorated with purple iris and bridal wreath. About 100 guests were in attendance. The members mem-bers of the club include Mrs. John Culley, president; Mrs. William A. Perkins, vice president; Alberta Wright, secretary and treasurer: Dorothy Wright, reporter; Mrs. Fred N: Hess, Mrs. Oscar Russell. Mrs. Leslie H. Saville, Mrs. Emily Shurtliff, Mrs. Earl Read, Mrs. C H. Stevens, Mrs. Roval Eccles, Mrs. Fred G. Clark, Mrs. X. Don Beason, Mrs. Lucian A. Ray, Mrs. Joseph A. Spargo was hostess to the members of the Martha society Monday afternoon at her apartment at the Virginia. Vir-ginia. The members of the senior class of the high school will be the guests of ' the junior cIrss at the annual junior prom next Friday evening at the Berthana. The junior class will present the following fol-lowing three one-act plays in the near future at the school auditorium: "Overtones," "Over-tones," "The Burglar" and "The Mon-kev's Mon-kev's Paw." The Historical society met this afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. J. R. Morrell. when the annual election of officers was held. Queen Esther chapter No. 4, O. E. S., held its regular tea Thursday afternoon at the Masonic clubrooms, from 2 until 5 o'clock. The Westminster guild of the Presbyterian Presby-terian church was entertained at a lawn party at the home of Mrs. H. C. King, Wednesday evening.
