Show CLOSING EXERCISES BEGINJTACADEMY Brigham H. Roberts of Salt Lake Addresses the Graduating Class. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, May 17. Brigham H. Roberts, Rob-erts, this evening at the Weber auditorium, audi-torium, addressed the largest class of graduates in the history of the college in its thirty-fivo years of existence The exercises tomorrow night will be the first of the commencement week, and will close the year, which marks another achievement in the educational work of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in W7eber county. In announcing the list of graduates. Principal Owen M. Seal, said the board of trustees and faculty of the collego, were elated with the growth of the school and with the important place which it is taking among the educational educa-tional institutions of the state. The exercises tomorrow evening, which will begin at 8 o'clock, will be the first of the events of the week. Monday will be observed as Senior day; Tuesday will be Alumni day, with the annual banquet; Wednesday will be College day; Thursday, Field day; Friday Fri-day school exhibit and commencement exercises at 8 p. m. in the. college auditorium. au-ditorium. The program tomorrow evening will be as follows: Selection, "Barcarolle," (Rivela) school orchestra; invocation, President John Watson; solo, "Life's Mirror," Eva Porter; address to graduates, grad-uates, Elder B. H. Roberts; selection, ."Angels' Serenade," (Braga), school I orchestra; benediction, President John V. Bluth. The program for the commencement I exercises on Friday night will be as follows: "No. 5 Hungarian Dance," (Joh. Brahms), school orchestra; invocation, Karl Storey; selection, " Cradle" Song," (J. L. Frank), school choir; address, Representative of Normal Class, Doris Cook; solo, "Happy Days," Ruth Evans; Ev-ans; address, Pres. Owen F. Beal; selection, se-lection, "La Berceuse," (Chas. Gounod), Gou-nod), school orchestra; reading, "A Few Bar3 in the Key of G," (Carlyle I Osborne), Grace Stone; valedictory, Derrah Van Dyke; presentation of diplomas, di-plomas, Pres. David 0. McKay; selection, selec-tion, "Rest," (Kubenstein), school choir; benedidction, David L. McKay. |
