Additional travel pay due men in the irmy who were discharged between November No-vember 11 of last year and February !8 of this year may uow be obtained if jroper application is made, according o information received by Major Fred forgenson, adjutant general of the date. Men are allowed 5 cents per mile 'join the point of discharge to their lomes, or to the point where they were nustered into service. Many men who were discharged before be-fore February 28 wero only allowed the original mileage, 3 Ms cents per mile. I'hey are entitled to an additional 1 V'i cents per milo. Having practically completed the payment of the $60 Donusea, the army director of finance innounces that he is now ready pay nileage claims. Application blanks for the additional nileago must be obtained from army ecruiting stations, the Bed Cross or ither soldiers' aid agencies, which are leing furnished with them. Men must 'ill out these forms and also attach cer-.ified cer-.ified copies of their discharge certifi-ate certifi-ate s. Directions Given. Complete directions for applying for ;ho mileage, as announced by the army lirector of fiuanco, are as follows: A blank form of application, which ncludes the necessary affidavit for the idditional travel allowance, may be ob-.aiued ob-.aiued from any army recruiting offi-er, offi-er, the Bed Cross or other agencies organized or-ganized to aid soldiers. This affidavit nust be accompanied by a true copy of .oldier's discharge certificate, certified is such by a recruiting officer, or the riginal discharge certificate, the lat-:er lat-:er to be returned with check. Whilo jayment will be made on the original lischarge certificate, claimants are advised ad-vised that the use of the copy will elini-nate elini-nate the possibility of the loss of the iriginal. No further correspondence is lecessary except in case of change in iddress. A certified copy of discharge certifi-ato certifi-ato submitted for payment of $60 boms bo-ms and now on filo in the zone finance iffice will be accepted in lieu of other opy of original discharge certificate. Men who have submitted these certified lopies will so state when forwarding laim. Payments will be made as expe-litiously expe-litiously as circumstances permit. C, as .bove. It should be realized that settlement f travel allowance claims cannot be ccomplished with the same rapidity rhich obtained in the payment of the 60 bonus.
