Show WESTERN GOLF MEET IS NATIONAL AFFAIR CHICAGO. May 17. The official program pro-gram for the western amateur Rolf championship cham-pionship meet, to be held at Sunset Hill club, St. Louis, June 16 to 21, issued to-niiht, to-niiht, made the contest a national affair for the second time by inviting all players play-ers east of Pittsburg to compete. Two years ago this invitation was extended, with the result that Francis Ouimet of Boston won the title, which he still holds, as there was no contest last year. The rules for the event announce that the stymie remains abolished in accordance accord-ance with the departure made two years ago by the Western Golf association, i Entries will be received up to noon June 14. The elimination round of IS holes will start at 8 o'clock Monday morning, June 16, the sixtv-four survivors playing the lS-hole qualifying round the next day to select the thirty-two contestants con-testants for the title. The first match round of 18 holes will be played Tuesd'iv afternoon. The other match rounds will be at 36 holes, with the finals on Saturday. |
