American flour and clothing are saving the lives of thousands thou-sands of destitute peoplo throughout Rumania. Ru-mania. The United States food administration adminis-tration has already brought into the country nearly 20,000 tons of flour, while the American Red Cross, which has a larg'e mission established here, is distributing dis-tributing clothing and general relief supplies sup-plies of all kinds among the needy population. popu-lation. The flour from America arrived at a time when conditions were the worst and when local supplies for the Rumanian people were almost exhausted. It was feared that the want of food would result re-sult in a state of Bolshevism and revoj lution. This American flour has been a tremendous factor in keeping down the unrest. From its relief stations established estab-lished at Bucharest, Jassy, Constanza, Galatz. FocsanI and Pitestl, the American Amer-ican Red Cross is distributing its supplies, sup-plies, and in every important village an American Red Cross soup kitchen is helping help-ing to feed the population.
