' v (A PRODUCING, DIVIDEND-FAYING COMPANY) Is Keeping; Up Its Record of Doing Better Than Predicted REGARDING OUR TEXAS OPERATIONS Mr. John W. McGee, the Company's Geologist and Field Manager, who has the reputation of being a "lease-scout" second to none in the country, has been in Texas the last couple of months quietly hunting for leases. He has had uppermost in mind at all times to get our Company Com-pany into Texas right, so that we would have a real chance to get our share of the money that is being made from the golden liquid coming forth from Mother Earth in Texas, and he finally succeeded in getting for our Company .. SIX THOUSAND ACRES IN THIS NEW WONDERLAND OF OIL This acreage is situated in Carson and Potter counties, near the 10,000,000 cubic foot Hap-good Hap-good gas well', right in the district which is claimed to be the center of the GREATEST OIL DEVELOPMENT TO COME IN THE HISTORY OF TEXAS. We cannot go into more details now, but wish to add simply this that we already have a standard rig, California type, paid for in full, now being erected on our first location. Actual drilling will be commenced just as soon as we can see our way clear to go down with the well without interfering with our Mexican and other operations. Regarding Our Operations in the Tampico Fields in (TELEGRAPHIC ADVICE FROM TAMPICO DATED MAY 7, 1919) 1919 May 8 A.j'l. 9:5-2 A138DA Via Laredo Jet. Tampico, Mex., May 7. Capitol Petroleum Co., Denha.ni Building, Denver, Colo. Got drilling permit on Espino lease; will finish that hole first; now five hundred feet deep: can complete in about forty days; ten men working ou Carr lease also. II. B. GUTHKEY, Supt. (COPIED FROM LETTER DATED APRIL 20TH, 1919) Capitol Petroleum Co., 415 Denhara Eldg., Denver, Colo. Dear Sirs: Easter Sunday. Good news. Just learned two of the biggest oil companies in Mexico are going to work near one of our leases. They are permanent companies and their plans are all made for drilling just as soon as water, fuel and other arrangements can he made. Water is our problem, and we have been delayed for that reason. I am solving this Question by making a water dam. Mr. Foley came in last night and reported it is about eight feet deep, and I estimate that if we have twenty days more dry weather we will have a dam large enough to hold the water needed for nine months. I am building a strong fence around this dam to protect it from tho' stock in tho neighborhood. I could give you a lot of details, facts and figures about our individual work, but I do not think it is necessary. My former letters explained that the taxes have been paid on all our properties. Yours truly, II. B. GUTHREY, Supt. Mr. John G. Powell, Secretary-Treasurer and General Counsel for our company, left on Monday May 12, for Tampico, Mexico, to confer with the company's local attorney, Judge McCabe, of Tampico, with reference ref-erence bo arranging for the transportation and sale of its oil. This problem may bo properly solved by the organization of a transportation company, which company will be owned and controlled by tho Capitol Petroleum Petro-leum Company. Mr. Powell will look over all the company's properties, some of which have been recently acquired, and will consider certain proposals from o'thers to drill soma of our property. i' We cannot tell you all of tho good things this time. In our next we will give the appraised valuation of our Mexican holdings, and will also tell about our operations in Kansas and Oklahoma. This new acquisition in Texas, added to the assets the company already has in Kansas. Oklahoma j.r.d J Old Mexico, surely makes this stock an attractive investment at 25 cents a share, and we urge our friends to E buy now, before the price goes up. A word to the wise ought to be sufficient. t .
