Show BAND ARRANGES FINE PROGRAMME Regular Weekly Concert to Be Given at Artillery Carnp This Evening. The Utah field artillery band, under the direction of Director J. Hawkins, Haw-kins, will ive ita regular Wednesday night concert tonight at the artillery camp from 7:3U to f. An intcrcstim; programme has been arranged, including includ-ing the following special features: The opening number will he the first performance of a new- military march by Oscar E. Ohristensen, solo clarinet-est clarinet-est of the band. According to Director Di-rector Hawkins, this is the finest march Mr. Christeusen has yet written. writ-ten. Another feature will be a triple-tongue triple-tongue cornet solo played by Assistant Bandmaster John Visser. The Utah field artillery chorus of a hundred picked voices will sing the state song, "Utah, We Love Thee," with band accompaniment. Melvin Peterson will sing "The American Army Song." composed by Lucy Rice Clark and Tracv Y. Cannon of this city an.l dedicated to Colonel R. V. Young, with full choru.s and band accompaniment. |
