Vogt, formerly attached at-tached to the medical detachment of the Forty-third infantry, has been transferred trans-ferred to the Forty-second infantry as regimental surgeon in charge of the regi- j mental medical detachment. j Lieutenant Vogt has put into operation opera-tion a thorough schedule of training for the men of the hospital detachment of the regiment which he believes will keep them busy and make a most efficient ef-ficient and well-trained hospital department. depart-ment. Instruction in riding, driving and packing will be given each morning from 8 to 9 o'clock. Regular drill will be given under supervision of the lieutenant lieu-tenant daily from 9:30 to 10:30. Instruction In-struction in" first aid work will be given by Lieutenant Vogt on Mondays and Fridays from 10:30 to 11:30, and lectures lec-tures on minor surgery will be given by Lieutenant N. P. Paulsen Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30. Lectures on anatomy and physiology will be given by Lieutenant A. L. Beaghler on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 2:30. On Wednesdays, at 3 p. m., instructions and lectures on army regulations will be given by Lieutenant Vogt. Lieutenant F. D. Strieker will give instruction in post sanitation on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30. |
