Show PLAIN CLOTHING IS FAVORED IN SCHOOLS Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Sept. 11. Conservative clothing cloth-ing will be urged this year by the school authorities, with a view of making the Ogden high school a most democratic organization or-ganization and one in which every girl and boy of Ogden will feel that he or she is the equal of the others. Such was the announcement made today by Superintendent Superin-tendent H. C. Johnson. For girls there will be a general request that silks and satins be barred and that the simpler dresses be worn. The young men will be asked to wear plain clothing and this will be, In large measure, of khaki cloth, for service uniforms are to be used in drilling. The khaki outfits can be secured at a much lower cost than the former dress uniforms. The state authorities feel that the plan will prove less burdensome to the parents than in former years. , |
